High-Pass Studio offers affordable recording packages for anyone looking to record their coaching or teaching services for private or commercial use. This service is great for self help teachers, life coaches, dating coaches, personal trainers, music instructors, vocal coaches, and any other coach or teacher who wants to provide an audio recording for their clients.

Each recording package includes all editing, mixing, and mastering to ensure your recording sounds it's best! During the editing, mixing, and mastering process we can add in any royalty free sound effects and music (or even your own original recorded music) to your recording. We can also record any guitar, bass, or piano tracks needed for music teachers and vocal coaches!

When selecting a recording package please take into account that the average person reads about 200 - 250 words per minute (about 10,000 words per hour). Also you should note that some words or phrases may need to be repeated during the recording session in order to get the "perfect take".

Pre-Record Preparation - PLEASE READ
To ensure you have the best recording experience possible, please take a moment to review the following guidelines before you enter the studio.
  • Get an ample amount of rest prior to the date of the recording session
  • Please don't neglect personal hygiene. We all have to live with each other in the same room. Please don't expose someone else to what you wouldn't like to be exposed to.
  • Ensure you know exactly what you will be reading and performing before you even enter the studio.
  • We prefer to bring in the minimum necessary number of people for each recording session. Having others present during recording sessions is counter-productive at the best of times, and it is to be avoided whenever possible.
  • Bringing friends/girlfriends/family etc. to the recording session ultimately affects productivity negatively and therefore it is not allowed. It is possible to maintain greater perspective and work flow when cutting out distractions from the outside world as much as possible.
  • If you have them, it is advisable to bring your own favorite pair of headphones. In-ear or closed back only please. If you do not own a pair of headphones a pair will be provided for you.
  • Make sure your material is clearly written with any additional notes you may need
  • Bring a capped bottle of spring water and keep it at room temperature. This is the best ingestible vocal aid you can have.
  • Rest up your voice and your body as much as possible prior to the date of your recording session
  • Bring any tea, honey, or any other vocal aid that you may need for your voice
  • You may be asked to repeat certain phrases a multitude of times in search of that 'perfect' take so make sure your voice is up to the task. If your voice is on the fringe then don't push it and inform the engineer when you need to take a break or end the session.
  • Bring anything you need, within reason, that will help bring the most emotion, feeling, and character out of your performance. This can be photographs, a picture of your favorite piece of art, a piece of jewelry that means a lot to you, ect.
  • Please note that it is your responsibility to acquire any sound effects or music that you would like added to your recording. It is also your responsibility to decide as to where in the recording you would like these sounds and music to be played. If you need help with this process we can work together during the recording session to make sure everything is exactly how you want it to be. Visit the "Links" section of my website (or Click Here to go there now) for a bunch of valuable links for authors and links on where to acquire royalty free sound effects and music.
  • Music Teachers/Vocal Coaches: It is your responsibility to bring in any instruments or amplifiers that you may want to use for the recording. If you are bringing in your own instruments please make sure they are properly set up and restrung 24hrs prior to the date of your recording session. If you would like, you are welcome to use the studio's instruments for your recording. We currently offer: Korg Triton Extreme 61key Keyboard, ESP Ltd Viper 301, Ibanez Acoustic/Electric guitar, Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier w/ Marshal 1960 A cabinet, Line 6 Pod XT Pro, and many software guitar and bass amplifiers and software virtual pianos and synthesizers. If you would like to use one of our guitars please note that you will be charged an additional $20 to cover the cost and time of restringing the instrument.
